We are not only provide the price and lead time on the mould quotation, we specify the mould specification such as steel for core and cavity, mould size, mould weight, cavities, mould type, mould life, mould base specification and the other your request on the Plastic mould quotation document.
On the quotation process, we will do the DFM analysis also, we will let our customer know if there is any potential issue for the plastic product, we will suggest the best and reasonable solution for customers.

Plastic mould making steel

We only use mould steels from qualified supplier in our mould production, such as 718(h), 738(h), S136(h), S7 from ASSAB of Sweden, NAK55 and NAK80 from DAIDO of Japan and P20(FINKL ), P20HH(FINKL), DRX(FINKL), 420, 2311, 2312, 2344, 2767 from LKM etc. Most of mould bases and standard components are purchased from LKM. Also, Seasky design mould according to customers' Plastic mould specification such as DME or HASCO plastic mould standard. Seasky offers the certification of mould base Plastic mould steel, heat treatment report, also mould drawing and engineering specification will be provided to customer after mould finish.
Plastic mould making
We use the high technique machine to manufacture Plastic moulds such as low speed wire cut, mirror EDM machine and CNC. Also we continuously import high technique mould making machine to improve our mould making capability.
Seasky checks the every process of mould making such as hardness inspection, electrode inspection, component dimension, Plastic moulded parts inspection etc.

How to make plastic mold

How to make plastic mold ?
A, First of all you should make decision to choose resin for your product
There are lot of resin. Such as ABS, nylon, nylon with galss fill, PC, PS, ASA etc, you shoud choose your resin according the function of the product.
B, You should choose steel for mold making
According your selection of the resin, mold life, injection machine, product drawing, then we can quote the price for the mold.
If your product request clear color, then you should choose ASSAB S136, NAK80 for mold core and cavity etc as these steel have high performance for mirror polishing.
If your resin is POM, PVC, then you should choose ASSAB S136, NAK80, 2083 for the mold core and cavity as these resin have corrosive nature.
C, Mold stand selection
If you need to move plastic mold to US to  produce the parts, then you shoud choose DME equivalent guide system mold base, this is customized in China by LKM or other mold base supplier. Also you should choose ejector pin, ejector guide pin and bushing, water connector etc as DME equivalent or same one, then you can replace the components in US in case of that you should replace them.
If you need to move plastic mold to Europe to produce the parts, then you should choose HASCO equivalent guide system mold base,  this is customized in China by LKM or other mold base supplier. Also you should choose ejector pin, ejector guide pin and bushing, water connector etc as HASCO equivalent or same one, then you can replace the components in Europe in case of that you should replace them.
If your mold base and components are different as DME, HASCO and LKM, they should be customized also, this is also no problem in Seasky Tooling Group Limited

3, Specify the color
4, Specify the resn used for molding, if you do not know what kind of resin you neeed, you can specify the function of your product.

What you should do on plastic mold inquiry

If you need to send plastic mold or plastic molded parts inquiry, you should prepare following information,
1,to leave the mold in China or you need to import the mold to produce as this will make the mold standard is not the same, also affect the mold price.
2,to be better specify the resin for plastic parts
3,specify the mold life you need, the question is like how many parts you need to purchase each year.

For export mold, request more information, normally professtional will offer details specification
4, mold is DME, HASCO OR DAIDO standard.
5, steel for core and cavity
6, surface finishing
7, sampling quantities and so on.............
